The CPSC has granted a one year stay on the testing requirment for certain children’s products. We are still required to comply, but not necessarily to test.

I have thought through all of my components. Fabric, elastic, thread, yarn = not likely to contain lead. Snaps are certified by their manufacturer to comply, same with Touchtape and PUL. That’s about all I use. So SUPER YAY.

As luck would have it, I put off getting the XRF scanner until THURSDAY, when I mailed in the contract and check. I’ll be calling on Monday to see if I can’t cancel that. And probably putting a stop pay on the check, too.

Really, though. This means I have another year to sell Pint Size Slings and hopefully work my way through my inventory of rings for said slings. Another year of baby shoes. Little Leg Warmers.

Oh, yay.
