CPSIA: Apparel industry meeting with CPSC

It’s a LONG video, but GOOD. I’m about halfway through. (hey, YOU try watching this with two small children.)

Company after company (Walmart, JC Penney, Children’s Place, J&P Coats, etc) saying the same things over and over. We’ve tested. No fabric we’ve tested – natural, manmade, dyed, undyed, etc – has failed. The failures we’ve found have been some plastic buttons, some zippers, some grommets, etc.

One gentleman emphasized the large quantites of money being spent by manufacturing to prove over and over and over that textiles don’t contain lead. SO TRUE.
