In my ongoing effort to build up a newborn stash, here are a bunch of fitted diapers. I’m partial to two-piece systems (fitteds with covers or prefolds with covers). Twelve flannel fitteds with edge-sewn soakers, and four all-hemp fitteds with edge-sewn soakers.
Flannel patterns were chosen mainly for their appeal to my four-year-old. Skulls. That blue and green one is Elvis (that was for me). The yellow is Captain Hook. Old Cars. Christmas Trees (since the baby will probably still be in smalls for Christmas). And the requisite baby plaids. Actually, I’ve just had those fabrics since I opened Wallypop in 2004 and frankly I’m sick of looking at them.
The insides look like this, with the soaker sewn down at the front only for faster drying.
