A New Project
I have been really excited about this particular project. It’s not often you get to create something that never existed before, to fill a very big need.
Introducing the Vesi Belt.
A Vesicostomy is a surgical procedure that allows the bladder to empty out through a hole below the belly button.
The stoma (hole) is just open, allowing urine to drain out constantly. This is a good thing medically for those who need it, but you can imagine what a diapering and clothing nightmare it turns out to be.
Many families buy giant size disposables and adapt them to fit their babies or toddlers, or double diaper with disposables. This is usually a less than satisfactory solution, as a quick web search will show. Almost nobody likes this solution.
And what about families who want to use cloth diapers? They have had no options.
Until now. That’s why I’m so excited about this.
Please note, if you don’t already own cloth diapers that you like, or if you prefer a one-piece, custom system, I can always adapt regular pocket style or fitted style diapers and covers to be extra tall for your child with a Vesi.

Please note, Genna does not have a Vesicostomy, and this Vesi Belt is not stuffed which is why it looks so weird. She’s rocking the Blues Clues panties, though.
Vesi Belts will be available when LemonDrops gets ready to open this fall.
