Free shipping to Australia, Aussie sales to benefit Red Cross

News Flash: I’ve decided, to thank Mr. Bolt for the free publicity, to give free shipping to all orders over $50 to Australia (site-wide). Additionally, 15% of ALL Australian orders received during March will be donated to the Australian Red Cross’s Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund.

Free Shipping offer expires March 10. Free shipping will be processed as a REFUND.

  1. If you can afford to “donate” (getting the tax deduction of course) 15% of the price for you to give, why not just reduce the price 15% and let us decide what to do with our money. You sound like the Government, taking the taxes out of our checks and sending it where “they” want.

  2. I want to thank the Australian journalist (or blogger anyway) whose snarky blurb about my wipes has garnered me unheard of international attention. Rather than sending him free product that he will not use, though, I’m giving some money to the Red Cross, a fantastic organization that is always there to help victims of tragedies. I know the US Red Cross has helped my fellow Iowans so many times recently, and was able to do so only because of the generous donations of others.

Your comparison doesn’t really hold true, though, about the government. In this case, I’m taking MY money and giving it where I want to… which is the essense of Conservative thinking on how charity ought to be handled. Let me use my own money the way I want.

Wallypop regularly tithes its earnings to various Christian or charitable organizations, without making a big deal out of it, because I believe in giving back, and in the Bible’s commands to give generously as you’re able.

    And that’s what I’m doing.

And I’m more than a little disturbed there by the implication that people should not be allowed to make money. OF COURSE I make money selling stuff. It’s how I pay my mortgage.
