Our basement is starting to flood, starting in my office, which is a new one. My office never floods. Ha. It’s still pouring and now the basement’s leaking from nearly every angle, including new places where it’s never leaked before. We’re turning off the shop vacs and going to bed, realizing that further fighting is futile. I have to shut my computer down now.
Instead of finishing up a wholesale order I had planned to complete tonight (Urban Mamas), I have instead spent the entire evening trying to keep water out of my office. However, now it’s coming in more quickly than I can fight it. We’re supposed to go out of town this weekend, but it’s looking like we’ll be here instead. If cleanup goes faster than I imagine it will, and barring further rain and flooding (ha), I hope to be back up by Tuesday.
